Econocel cellulose loose-fill insulation is specially designed to be pneumatically installed in attic areas, under floors and wall cavities to assist in controlling the high cost of heating and cooling, as well as aiding noise control. Econocel insulation is non-toxic and contains no asbestos or glass fiber. Constant quality control testing in our plant gives assurance of fire safety and a product worthy of public acceptance.
Econocel’s fire retardant chemicals coat the cellulose fiber and provide the proven resistance to heat and flame. This formula does not deteriorate with age. Every bag carries the Underwriters Laboratory classification mark. Econocel loose-fill insulation may be installed with most equipment designed to handle cellulose insulation and can be blown over other old insulators to meet new R-factor requirements.

WHAT IS ECONOCEL INSULATION?
Econocel is the make of cellulose of wood fibers that have been reprocessed and chemically treated to be used as loose fill thermal insulation. The material is non- toxic, odorless and non- irritating to the touch. Because the material is basically recycled paper, it does not deplete natural resources. In the manufacturing process, Econocel uses far less energy to produce than mineral insulation.
IS ALL CELLULOSE INSULATION THE SAME?
No. Cellulose manufactured under the Econocel label must measure up to the rigid standards such as: Federal Specification HH-1-5150, American Society of Testing Material Standards and Consumer Product Safety Commission.
CAN ECONOCEL INSULATION CORRODE METAL PIPES, WIRING OR BEAMS?
No, Econocel meets Federal Specification HH-1-515D which mandates that products must be non-corrosive.
